<p>Part-time Lecturer(s). The Philosophy Department wishes to develop an applicant pool of part-time lecturers for 2012-2013 to draw upon as the situation requires. At this time we are not anticipating any specific openings. Please check our website to see the range of courses we offer.</p>
<p>Salary: $8000/course (approximately) per course with Ph.D.; commensurate with experience.</p>

    <title>Free Film on Heidegger: "Only a God Can Save Us"</title>

    <description>February 23rd, 2012, 100 Hunt Hall, 7:00 p.m.  A film about Martin Heidegger's relationship with the Nazi party by director Jeff Van Davies.</description>
    <content:encoded xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/"><![CDATA[<p>Professor Adam Sennet has co-ordinated with the German and English departments as well as  the Davis Humanities Institute to bring director Jeff Van Davies to UCD for a screening of his film  'Only a God Can Save Us'.  The film explores Heidegger's relationship with the Nazi  party and his post war political opinions. <a href="http://jeffrey-van-davis.com/index.php?id=14" target="_blank"></a> The film will be shown in 100 Hunt Hall at 7pm on  February 23rd, 2012.  The director promises to spend an hour or so afterwards  fielding questions etc.  This should be a fun and interesting event. And it's free!</p>
<p>The day before the showing, Wednesday, February 22, Dr. G. J. Mattey of the Philosophy Department will offer an overview of Heidegger's philosophy.  The presentation will be held from 6:10 to 8:00 P.M. in 205 Olson.</p>
