Professor Adam Sennet has co-ordinated with the German and English departments as well as the Davis Humanities Institute to bring director Jeff Van Davies to UCD for a screening of his film 'Only a God Can Save Us'.  The film explores Heidegger's relationship with the Nazi party and his post war political opinions.  The film will be shown in 100 Hunt Hall at 7pm on February 23rd, 2012.  The director promises to spend an hour or so afterwards fielding questions etc.  This should be a fun and interesting event. And it's free!

The day before the showing, Wednesday, February 22, Dr. G. J. Mattey of the Philosophy Department will offer an overview of Heidegger's philosophy.  The presentation will be held from 6:10 to 8:00 P.M. in 205 Olson.
